Theres a freight line that runs behind my job at the theatre I work at. I love every time it comes by, sometimes for minuets at a time.. Its so inspiring to think of where its going, how much its carrying, and who might be riding it to a find a new spot in life. It reminds me of a piece of advice I received about lighting design which was “Make the lights tight enough that not even a train passing by could knock it out of focus” and when I first heard that I thought to my self ” When will there ever be a train close enough to knock my lights out of focus?” So here I am making sure all my lights are nice and tight and I smile every time it comes down the tracks.
